Al Najjar,
master soapmaker
since 1895
In the heart of the alleyways of Aleppo, the birthplace of Aleppo soap, the Al Najjar family has been perpetuating a rare and precious know-how for generations. In their soap factory, master soapmakers patiently blend olive and bay laurel oils, saponifying them in large steam-heated cauldrons. The soap then rests for many months, sheltered from the sun, while nature does its work. Beroïa was born of this tradition, a brand that links this oriental heritage with French refinement. By combining the craftsmanship of Aleppo's soap-makers with the expertise of France's Laboratoire Najjar, Beroïa celebrates simple, authentic beauty: the kind that draws on yesterday's gestures to enhance today's skincare products.
